| EDUindex Ranking Showcases Top Ten NYC High Schools
NYC high schools’ EDUindex, reflecting curriculum relevancy, reveals what schools are deemed best at offering classes that meet current demands.
New York (PRWEB) June 4, 2010 – NYC Schools’ EDUindex Ranking is published, including nearly four hundred schools. EDUindex, Inc. is an education company that publishes the EDUindex, a number that represents the correlation of how a school’s curriculum matches the representative skills in the marketplace, as well as offers the accompanying EDUindex Gap Reports which show the detail of the numerical EDUindex. The company helps schools know what class electives could be offered to help motivate students and better prepare them for their future. “We are pleased to provide the NYC High Schools with helpful information, and congratulate those that have landed in the Top Ten of the EDUindex Ranking. These schools will be the first High Schools ever to have available their EDUindex Gap Reports which can help them offer the most relevant education in America,” says Gail Gessert, Ph.D., CEO of EDUindex, Inc.
The EDUindex Top Ten NYC High Schools include: 1) Satellite Academy High School, 2) John Dewey High School, 3) High School of Fashion Industries, 4) Urban Assembly School of Business for Young Women, 5) Norman Thomas High School, 6) Millennium High School, 7) John V. Lindsay Wildcat Academy Charter School, 8) Eleanor Roosevelt High School, 9) Vanguard High School, and 10) NYC Museum School. “I am personally glad that schools are rewarded for being relevant rather than only receiving accolades for high test scores. I look forward to meeting with each and every one of them to help them get their Gap Reports,” offers Lynda Valanzano, NYC Account Executive.
About EDUindex:
EDUindex, Inc. promotes relevancy in education. It is an information company not an educational testing company. The corporation has three initiatives: 1) Publish the EDUindex which is a numerical value that represents how well curriculum matches the needed skills of the environment; for schools, districts, cities, states, and regions. 2) Offer EDUindex Gap Reports to constituents (Schools, Parents, Publishers, Districts) which show the detail of what could be represented in the curriculum to increase relevancy for students, and 3) Offer the relevant curriculum that is prominently needed in Education (A later phase of the company.) EDUindex strives to help move Education in a meaningful direction reflecting the world's ever changing dynamic needs. EDUindex does not measure how well a teacher, or student, or school, or principal is doing, but rather seeks to offer them information to help meet their objectives. EDUindex offers a map to what our children need to learn for tomorrow!

EDUindex Taps Lynda Valanzano for NYC Account Executive
A veteran participant of NYC schools, Lynda Valanzano, joins EDUindex, Inc. as Account Executive to be a liaison between EDUindex and the High Schools to help interpret their Gap Reports.
New York (PRWEB) April 16, 2010 -- EDUindex, Inc., adds Lynda Valanzano as its lead NYC Account Executive. EDUindex Gap Reports, accordingly, show the detail of the resultant class electives that may be offered to better motivate students. “Lynda is just the person to help parents, students, and schools interpret their EDUindex, and Gap Reports. She grew up in NYC, and her mom was a School Safety Captain. She is one of their own. We are very pleased to have her join our team,” says Gail Gessert, CEO, EDUindex.
Lynda Valanzano, born and raised in Brooklyn, brings the company knowledge of NYC metro area and experience in the NYC high school classroom. Lynda has also authored numerous college and career advice columns. Lynda comments, “I am very happy about joining EDUindex. Getting a map of what is relevant for students, instead of a test, is like handing out a motivational guide for student learning. I am very confident that students, teachers, and parents will appreciate the Gap Reports.” As the NYC liaison, Lynda will help with Gap Report interpretation as well as aid in choosing Parent and Student EDUindex Champions who will help with acquiring the reports.
